Order: 3 different Tacos & a drink. Shrimp ceviche. Pros: the food was amazing simply put, and the prices for taco Tuesday whatttt! The quality of the taco for the price on Taco Tuesday is well worth it!! I think the Tacos were like $3.5. The shrimp ceviche was equally as amazing and very, very flavorful. I wanted to drink the ceviche juice. That's how good it was. Cons: seating can be a little tricky, but we were seated fairly quickly.

The only slight negative on a list of many positives is the ordering process. It's unnecessarily inefficient. You stand in line, but don't get to review the menu until it's time to order thereby causing a longer wait. Then the person taking the order has to go find you a table, then walk back to the register to take the next order. Just odd. The space is super charming, great vibe, tasteful decor and an awesome bar. Great attention to detail, and what clever utensils. I eat a lot of Mexican food and the chips here are one of the best in Portland. Definitely not from a bag, probably homemade, hot and crisp. The chicken taco was good. But the winner of the night was the carnitas taco. They say carnitas is the benchmark on how to judge Mexican food, much like sausage is for pizza. Reminds me of one of the best I've had which was from now closed Tortilleria Y Tienda De Leon. Melt in your mouth, a touchy greasy, but in a good way. The La Patroncita bowl, Mole Con Pollo, and ceviche were all very good. Not a smidgen remained. Cocktails are a main draw. The Panchita's Margarita was very good, but the Brindo de Tamarindo was excellent. Love this place!

this place had a nice wonderful atmosphere dim lighting, very romantic scenery. The food was really good. We ordered quesadilla tacos, and Chilada's and also ceviche and they were really good. I ordered the Paloma and it's by far one of the best that I've come across. I will definitely be coming back here again.

What a gem of a location in Belmont - small yet classy, intimate yet open, delightful and cozy. Taco Tuesday is the best thing going here with pink margaritas and $3 tinga (chicken) and carnitas (pork) tacos. Ordering is accomplished at the counter to your right as you walk in the door, after which the staff will show you to your table. The dining room is divided into two main areas by an open "bookcase" - if you're sitting in the area on the other side of the divider, you can still see the charming little fireplace through the openings in the bookshelf. If you're game (or younger than my older knees will allow me), you can sit at the low-slung sofa that faces the fireplace - the ambiance is peaceful and quiet. There's a bar at the rear of the restaurant with seating nearby or at the bar countertop. The restroom is located down a flight of stairs, so if you're stair-challenged, plan accordingly; there are no facilities on the main floor. Our food arrived by attentive wait staff, beginning with chips and salsa, followed by tacos and drinks. The pink margarita with the branded lime on the rim was delicious. We had ordered chicken tacos and carnitas tacos which were made with generous portions of meat and covered in salsa and pickled onions and radishes. Everything was very tasty and filled us up with no room for dessert. Next time, I'll be doing a better job of advance planning as those buñelos sure looked mighty good! All in all, a charming little Mexican restaurant with street parking, open only during dinner hours. I'd recommend making reservations - the tables fill up fast!

Friendly service. Order at the counter then they show you where to sit. Tons of cozy seating spots and even a fireplace. I sat at the back with the bar and grabbed the table in the right corner which was great people watching spot. I ordered two tacos that are larger than street style: the tinga and carnitas. Both very juicy. I also got chips and salsa and loved how the salsa had a real kick to it. For a cocktail, the bidi bidi bum bum is a must try if you like any amount of sweet for a drink. It had a lot going on within the glass - sweet yet acidic, creamy yet punchy and a tiny hint of heat from the tajin rim. Any place that brands their own limes I am here for. Once there's a few folks waiting to order inside, leaving is kinda a mess to get through the people but that's a minor gripe. The team, food, drinks, and cozy inside of this small place make it worth visiting any time of year.

Beautiful, busy, and... burned logos? I was struck by the inviting atmosphere of pink hues and complimentary colors that welcomed me from the street. As I hopped out of my lyft, the neon pink sign confirmed that I had arrived to the best new Mexican spot in Southeast Portland. The wait for seating and ordering food can be long, since, seating is limited. However, the team was incredible with conversation while we waited, and, the small dining space made for cozy vibes to look forward to. I let the server choose all of my dishes and drink, which was the correct choice. Once I ordered, I was seated on a comfortable but very low couch. Those with mobility constraints may have difficulty sitting there. My drink, the Bidi Boom, arrived quickly, and, without alcohol, thanks to Dry January (for me). Thanks for the accommodation, team! I was very impressed with the attention to detail everywhere, from unique cowboy hats, to burned logos pressed into the limes that garnish beverages and tacos. The food arrived on the iconic pink tortillas, which, were some of the yummiest I had tasted. They are thick, flavorful, and allow for easy eating with one hand - as any taco should be. I would have enjoyed sitting at the bar, and I will probably do just that during my next adventure here. The side tables by the couch are at odd levels compared to where you are sitting, so, I recommend waiting for a table. Thanks for a great adventure! This is an ideal place to dine or drink if you are hopping around town.

It's been a long while since I've visited a 5-star spot but La Patroncita is totally one of them! Service was casual where you order at the cashier and then take a seat. The ambience and decors were so perfectly cozy and modern while being vibrant and just outright beautiful. Food was 10/10. We enjoyed everthing we got from the creative drinks to the loaded tacos to the dessert (pro tip: leave a review on google and you get a complimentary buenolos!). Both our drinks were tasty with the Ginger Spice being a fun twist on an Espresso Martini and the Old Fashioned being boozy but still refreshing. Out of all the tacos, we liked the Asada the best. Super well-seasoned and tender. The Carnitas and Chicken were good too though and these are big tacos (Another pro tip: they do taco Tuesdays!). We also tried the Taquitos which were crispy, fried tortillas filled with delicious braised beef (this was honestly my favorite meat and I wish I can have it in the taco or the bowl) and the Bowl that came with lots of rice and beans and your protein of choice. The Bowl is certainly a great option if you're particularly hungry. It had a lot of toppings too. For the Buenolos, it was crispy, fresh, and cinnamony. The vanilla ice cream paired so well with this. We had such a great night here and certainly will be spreading the word and coming back for more!

Checked this place out for the first time and was impressed across the board. The exterior was quite unassuming but the interior was a balance of cozy, fun, vibrant and quirky! The decor is unique and irrefutably memorable. Ordered an old fashioned and two tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious! Staff were friendly and accommodating. The food came out in a timely manner and was hot. This place feels like the kind of place where you can feel comfortable yet immersed in sophistication. I will keep this as a staple in my regular culinary lineup moving forward. Check it out if you're in SE and looking for a fun new Portland experience.

I had this on the list for far too long before checking them out and sad that I didn't come sooner! This place is so great for a ladies night out, which is what we did and it was just the energy that we needed for our friend's birthday. I love the cultural decor and the staff were super friendly. We didn't think we needed a reservation but I highly recommend it. The staff were nice enough to fit us in a table that wasn't booked for an hour plus so we grabbed it. My friend and I split the carnitas nachos which was the best carnitas I've had since my last visit to Austin. Great value for the amount but one so good you probably want them all to yourself. We also tried the carne asada taco and split some chips, salsa and guacamole. The drinks were hands down my favorite, making this a great place for after work happy hour or to bring friends from out of town. The place is smaller but not too loud or cramped to chill and enjoy yourself. If you haven't been yet, make it your next night out and thank me later!

Visited La Patroncita for drinks and we had a great time. The location is on the smaller side but there was seating open when we arrived! Originally we wanted to sit at the bar but there were no seats which was totally fine, we ended up sitting a cute table instead. The aesthetic and vibe of La Patroncita is super super cute! Definitely an instagramable spot. As far as the service, servers were nice and attentive. We got our drinks fairly quickly and they were all delicious! I got the espresso martini with a gingerbread man on top. Took around 15 pictures of it before sipping because it was just that cute. I believe they use Stumptown Coffee which is one of my favs and I found the drink to be very tasty. Not too strong but maintained the nice coffee flavor. The other drinks were also a hit. Overall, will be visiting again soon.
